Assistant Principal
Aston Tubbs
Hello! My name is Aston Tubbs, and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Chavez Elementary. I’ve been in education for 12 years, including the last 4 as an administrator. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. Go Mean Green!
Chavez Elementary holds a very special place in my heart. I’ve had the privilege of serving this campus as a parent, a teacher, and now as an administrator. Before stepping into this leadership role, I taught in both Arlington ISD and right here at Chavez in Little Elm ISD. I also served as an administrator in Richardson ISD for two years before returning to Chavez in my current role. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of school culture and continue to shape how I lead, support, and connect with students, families, and staff every day.
Outside of school, I’m a proud wife and mom to three amazing kids: Rylee, Trace, and Torin. They are my greatest treasures, and I hold the same high expectations for your children that I do for mine. I truly love our students like they are my own, and every decision I make is guided by what is best for kids.
I’m truly excited to continue building strong relationships within our Chavez community and to support every child, every family, and every educator in meaningful ways.
